Frans de Kok was born in 1943 in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
"Already in the womb I knew I was going to be a painter". He says.
From secondary school to the Art Academy in Tilburg, where Frans was a student of
Nico Molenkamp, Ru van Rossem and Joop Liesker among others.

On a day the father of Frans told his son that he needed to find a job.

The first that came to mind was Frans his other passion, namely photography.
Finally Frans ran his own photoshop for 30 years in the town of Hilvarenbeek, but kept on taking
painting lessons with Fons de Kok, a far family relation.

As things go sometimes Frans burned his bridges one day and moved into
a caravan to persue his lifetime passion of painting.

And with result ! The paintings of Frans de Kok are breathtaking.
